Clear Lake hosts the best Farmers Market in North Iowa!

Did you know that the Clear Lake Farmers Market is the best farmers market in the north Iowa area?! After you check out the Purple Ribbon General Store, be sure to stop by the market on July 13th, 2024 from 9:00 AM to NOON in the parking lot of the Surf Ballroom & Museum. What better way to celebrate being in the swing of summer vacation than by exploring an awesome farmers market community? When you visit, you’ll find a variety of local produce, artisan breads (that’s us!), cheese, 3D-printed dragons, coffee, smoothies, and more will be available from 50+ vendors, along with live music and kids activities!

This list only states what we know we’re bringing for sure (we say “for sure” with the assumption that nothing crazy will happen, like getting squished by a Thwomp, being eaten by a Piranha Plant, or falling off Rainbow Road🤪). While writing this, we’re still deciding which other flavor pies we’ll have with us, but other than that, this is everything we’re bringing. If you have any specific requests, call us! Best weather in North Iowa for the best farmers market

Saturday morning looks like it’ll offer some of the best weather north Iowa can offer! There’s nothing like hanging out at the farmers market on a beautiful sunny and 75 degree day. As one of the beautiful people who visits us at the Clear Lake Farmers Market, we want to remind you that we’ll be there this week, and in order to stay cool, come early! We already have dough mixed and rising, and there’s no going back now. We’re coming on Saturday prepared with all our usual delicious artisan breads and our remaining fantastic specialty jams. As long as you keep coming, we’ll keep bringing all the good stuff! So, we’ll see ya there, right?!😄

We’re on the south side of the market

For the first time this farmers market season, since we moved, we didn’t have anyone tell us they didn’t know we were in a new spot! …Just kidding. Although it may seem obvious by now if you’ve already visited us a few times this year, we still have friends who think we stopped coming to Clear Lake. This is your weekly, friendly reminder that we’re in a new spot!

We’re not where we were last year

Traditionally, our booth has been next to the sidewalk and near the music (the north-east side) -we aren’t in that spot anymore! Instead, you’ll find us on the other end of the market, at the far side, away from the music (the south side). If you need a map to visualize and see this change, there’s one linked at the end of this post. Note: Only our booth within the market is moving- the Clear Lake Farmers Market, this week and all season, is still in the Surf Ballroom parking lot.

Road construction is getting closer to done

Thank you for being patient and flexible with the road construction around the Surf Ballroom. The farmers market is continuing to keep an eye on where construction is each week and making background adjustments as necessary. The whole market will continue to be shifted 18 feet west (further away from the sidewalk). The layout will basically be the same as past weeks, other than the vendors who pop in and out each week. Road work is no fun to drive around, but on the upside, the new road won’t have a sidewalk down the middle, and the market isn’t cancelled!

Savor summer’s best activities with farmers market friends

We totally get it- it’s easy to fill up your July schedule and bump farmers markets down your list of local events. But, don’t let that stop you from coming -it’s the perfect opportunity to buy that one pie you eyeball all the time, but never actually get. Or those delectable scones. Or that Italian seasoning that smells irresistible. Honestly, it’s crazy the number of times we hear folks say “I might circle back around to get that,” and when they inevitably do come back to our booth, that item they wanted is gone. Friendly reminder: you’re allowed to treat yourself to delicious food on the first walk through. 😄

Visit the best farmers market in north Iowa!

We love all the fun experiences happening this weekend (including stopping by a local store we’ve partnered with), and we hope you’ll join us for the best farmers market in north Iowa this Saturday in Clear Lake. We’ll be in the Surf Ballroom parking lot from 9 AM until noon. The mission of Clear Lake Farmers Market is to offer healthy fresh produce and hand crafted products to consumers while building community connections and supporting the local economy, and it’s definitely worth a stop.  Feel free to put it in your calendar, and we’ll see you there!
