Things are going great at the Clear Lake Farmers Market!

Farmers markets are going great this season! June 8th marks the fourth week at the Clear Lake Farmers Market in 2024, so stop by from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM in the parking lot of the Surf Ballroom & Museum. When you visit, you’ll find a variety of fresh veggies, delicious cinnamon rolls (that’s us!), eggs, handcrafted items, coffee, grilled cheese sandwiches, and more will be available from 50+ vendors, along with live music and kids activities!

This list only states what we know we’re bringing for sure (we say “for sure” with the assumption that nothing crazy will happen, like barotrauma, bad Big Blue brakes, or being barraged by black bears 🤪). As usual, farmers markets are going great, but this season leads us to the question of “what should we bring this week?” While writing this, we’re considering which flavors of pie we should bring this market. We’ve moved, come find us!

More folks are still finding us at the farmers market for the first time! It’s so fun seeing everyone who visits Clear Lake during the summer. I’ll make this friendly reminder all season long: we’re in a new spot at the farmers market. Traditionally, our booth has been next to the sidewalk and near the music (the north-east side) -we aren’t in that spot anymore! Instead, you’ll find us on the other end of the market, at the far side, away from the music (the south side). If you need a map to visualize and see this change, there’s one linked at the end of this post. Note: Only our booth within the market is moving- the Clear Lake Farmers Market is still in the Surf Ballroom parking lot.

Farmers markets are going great

Since some folks have asked us if anything has opened up for the summer, it’s exciting that we can say “Yes, and the farmers markets are going great! Check it out this Saturday!” And, actually, we can’t believe we’re already into a month of markets. We love seeing all of our farm friends at the far side of the market, close to the Surf Ballroom building. We’re in this new spot within the layout of the market, but we are still present at the delicious-food-providing farmers market you know and love. And, as long as you keep coming, we’ll keep bringing all the good stuff! So, you are coming, right?!😄

Road construction around the farmers market

We’ve had a great few weeks inside the Clear Lake Farmers Market! Thank you for being patient and flexible with the road construction around the Surf Ballroom. The farmers market is continuing to keep an eye on where construction is each week and making adjustments as necessary. This week, the whole market will be shifted about 15 feet west (further away from the sidewalk). The layout will be the same as past weeks, and nothing will change about your shopping experience -it’s just going to be further away from the street. Road work is no fun to drive around, but on the bright side, this will put us one week closer to a nice road and no more road construction in this area!

We love that summer farmers markets are here, and we hope you’ll join us this Saturday. We’re in the Surf Ballroom parking lot from 9 AM until noon. The Clear Lake Farmers Market is the largest producer-only market in North Iowa and it’s absolutely worth a stop. Set a reminder wherever you can, and we’ll see you there!
