Wonderful Farmers Market Weather This Week 9/21/2024

Enjoy the farmers market in wonderful Clear Lake, Iowa!

If you think the most wonderful weather of all is when the leaves start to fall, then this is the time to join us at the Clear Lake Farmers Market! We’ll be there on September 21st, 2024 from 9:00 AM to NOON in the parking lot of the Surf Ballroom & Museum. When you visit, you’ll also be able to find a variety of fresh, crisp produce, flavorful jams and breads (that’s us!), fancy charcuterie boards, cute dish towels, decorative corn stalks, and more will be available from 50+ vendors, along with live music and kids activities!

Like usual, this list only states what we know we’re bringing for sure (we say “for sure” with the assumption that nothing crazy will happen, like running out of walnuts -oops, sorry banana nut lovers! 🤪) While writing this, we still haven’t figured out what other pie flavors we’re bringing (like normal). No umbrella necessary

As you may know, this weekend’s farmers market has a teeny-tiny chance of getting rained on. As one of the wonderful people who visits us at the Clear Lake Farmers Market this week, we want to remind you that sprinkles or sunshine, we’ll be there this week! All the sourdough is mixed and rising, and there’s no going back now. So, we’re coming on Saturday prepared for anything and with many of our usual, delicious, artisan breads and our specialty jams. As long as you keep coming, we’ll keep bringing all the good stuff! So, you are coming, right?!😄

We’re on the south side of the farmers market

It’s been a couple months since I’ve talked about it, so I thought it’d be a good time to let new visitors know that we’re in a new spot. Traditionally, our booth has been next to the sidewalk and near the music (the north-east side) -we aren’t in that spot anymore! Instead, you’ll find us on the other end of the market, at the far side, away from the music (the south side). Road construction will be done soon!

Like you probably know, we’ve had a great few months at the Clear Lake Farmers Market! Thank you for being patient and flexible with the road construction around the Surf Ballroom this year. If you’ve been hanging out with us most of the summer, you know that lately the construction gets easier and easier to navigate around. Road work is no fun to drive around, but on the bright side, our wonderful farmers market isn’t cancelled!

Our mixer is still doing wonderful

If you’ve been regularly reading these updates, then you know we’ve had some troubles with our mixer this year. We are members of Healthy Harvest, and we are so thankful to them for helping us out last week. We did end up getting our mixer running last Thursday, and Shaun let me run the grease gun (my first time using one!). We’re so excited because our mixer now runs smoother, quieter, and better than ever, since we’ve had it.

We, again, have our wonderful selection of breads with us this week. It’s an amazing time of year to come and visit our booth! You can find us at the Clear Lake Farmers Market this weekend in the Surf Ballroom parking lot from 9 AM until noon. The Clear Lake Farmers Market is the largest producer-only market (which means no resellers) in North Iowa and it’s definitely worth a stop. Set up a reminder somewhere you’ll see it, and we’ll see you there!
